On April 10th, 2025, the CAGEA – Career Guidance from an Early Age. An introspective methodology to connect students with their future – project officially began with its kick-off meeting held in Portugal, hosted by our project partner Agrupamento de Escolas Francisco Simões. All seven partners gathered to lay the groundwork for the project’s first steps and shape the direction of future activities.

At the heart of the discussions was a key question:
What do students, parents, and teachers expect from career guidance in schools?

Partners explored how schools can better respond to the needs of these target groups. Should there be dedicated career consultants in schools? What kind of support would be most valuable—personalized counseling, gender-sensitive guidance, exposure to different career paths? These questions are now guiding the development of the project’s first surveys, which will be distributed to gather real insights from the school communities in each partner country.

As an organization committed to modernizing education and improving student support systems, Innovation in Education is proud to be part of this important initiative. The findings from the upcoming survey will play a crucial role in shaping more inclusive and effective career guidance services across Europe.

The kick-off meeting was attended by representatives of all partner organisations:

  • Agrupamento de Escolas Francisco Simões (Portugal) – Host
  • Formative Footprint (Spain)
  • INSTITUTE OF ENTREPRENEURSHIP DEVELOPMENT – iED (Greece)
  • ARISTOTELIO PANEPISTIMIO THESSALONIKIS (Greece)
  • Colegio San José (Spain)
  • SEPUGS Vasil Antevski Dren (North Macedonia)

With strong collaboration and a shared vision, the CAGEA project begins its journey toward more equitable and responsive educational environments.

🟡 Stay tuned—we’ll soon share more about how students, families, and teachers across Europe envision the future of career guidance in schools.
